usually when I read my old letters I feel pretty embarassed at how dumb I must’ve sounded… :P Glad your trip home was great, though, even if you were sick!

Now that I’m older, I think that “Jesus is coming; look busy” pin is even more funny…

I thought those processions were SO long… so many countries. Pretty amazing, but it did get long after a while!

It was also quite an experience being in the environment. On the Great Wall, you kind of forgot you were in China because there were so many different people there from all over… Kind of cool :)

So THIS is why you kept emailing me back…you were working on your blog :-)

It has changed a lot, even since we walked by a month ago. That is sad about the old home being torn down, and I’m with you that new townhomes just aren’t my thing. I am noticing though on our street that a lot of the old beautiful houses are being fixed up, while retaining their character. I think that kind of fixing up is great for the neighborhood, so long as low-income people can still afford to live here. So many people get pushed out. A realtor I talked to yesterday said that even though it seems like the CD is changing rapidly, things are changing much slower than people anticipated a few years ago.

i am so jealous that you have a green thumb!! i have yet to own a garden, but once i do, i hope i have a green thumb cause i certainly don’t with plants!!

Hey Mel, I think you’re allergic to Sacramento weather now! Even though you were sick, I’m glad that you came out to say “hi” to us. :)

I also try to clean stuff out every time I’m at my mom’s. I still have our old notes… :) Sometimes, it’s hard to throw them out. It would be funny when we’re in our retirement age and we take these letters out to read…hahhaha…we can read all about our insecurities and sillyness! Do you still have your Eddie Furlong pictures?
